Driving down Petersburg Road, I noticed what looked to be a dried clump of mud in the middle of the road. As I got closer, I realized it was a turtle. I knew it wasn't an Eastern Box Turtle, but wasn't sure if it was a snapper, or possibly a Red Ear Slider. I REALLY wanted the first photo to be of it in the middle of the road, but let go of that selfish notion and moved it to the side of the road before starting the photo shoot.
