I had not seen this guy for several days and grew concerned because we ALWAYS see him
and his tan friend on our walk. One day, almost a week after we saw him last, we happened
to see the owner collecting her mail. I ask about the absent pup and she said, We had to
put HER down because the arthritis had gotten so bad." Of course, I gave my condolences,
and then continued the walk, sadder but wiser.
