This is the best picture I can get of this dog. S/he is almost always in the backyard which is barely visible from the road. Ten days after this picture was taken, Phoenix and I got a much
closer look at this dog. I was set to get a picture when I realized it was charging at us.
Unfortunately, this dog, whose name I learned is Cody, came out on the loosing end of the fight
with Phoenix. I'm not sure Phoenix even suffered a scratch. The owner later apologized, saying that she didn't think Cody would go anywhere while she went in the house to check on her
napping daughter. Cody is 13 and very arthritic. He can barely make it up the steps to their deck.
