This was a good place to stop and get a Coke when I was a kid...my friends and I would ride our horses over from the stables by the bridge at the river (next to N.Union) Ranco Rio, I think they were called. Back then, you saw more old pickup trucks & ranch trucks parked there, oilfield workers ate there, the like. we used to tie our horses off, I think on the left side of the pic, where from what I can tell is vehicle parking now...fun times back then! Rode my horse ALL OVER that lease, that whole area, down the riverbed,and even up the bluffs once or twice! Thanks for sharing! (You know, I joined here, and I really need to post some of *my* best shots here at pbase!)
