Response: f8 is sufficient for this image. Overexposed? This is the way I shot it - for drama and contrast. Light gray gravestones are boring and show little texture . Warm sunny fall day? It was July 5th hot (95degrees) steamy and miserable.

This image brought back great memories for me. I would walk by this Boston cemetery often on my way to class... Reading the carved inscription dates on the stones brought understanding to what life was like then compaired to now. This photograph was captured clear enough to trigger memories and I feel the artist did a wonderful job reproducing a piece of American history. From a technical point of view I feel the piece to be a bit over exposed... My choice on a bright sunny day would F11. Because of the high aperture value the depth of field was very clear... To drop the aperture size to F11 might have captured more of the feeling and colours of a warm sunny fall image (which seem to be missing in your original piece.) Very nice presentation.
