Temple of Athena, 460–450 BC
Possibly the first example of two architectural orders
Doric and Ionic, co-existing in a single building's columns.
Did not know this archeological site existed until researching the trip.
What a find! Two other temples just as impressive only quarter mile away.
Located 50 km or 45 minutes by car from south of Salerno.
Devoid of tourists.
Capaccio Paestum, Salerno, Campania, Italy
