You've got the technical elements well contained here, Scott, and the exposure is serving what you've captured quite well. Now let me cross some aesthetic 't's. The white central flowers, I feel, might be better set off by a backdrop colour which is more separate and distinct from the existing grey one, just for contrast. I find that I'm drawn strongly to the dark, horizontal line just below the flower heads. I'm not sure I would have cropped the stems as tightly, because I'd like to see the bottoms of the stems as part of the overall composition. The purple segments don't seem to add to my appreciation of the whole scheme. Still-life's are as difficult a subject as is food photography, and I appreciate the effort nonetheless.
