A wonderful sentiment to these two ANZAC veterans. I find the background a little bright and tends to pull my eye away from the main two subjects.
Consider a telephoto lens or wider aperture to blur the background, using Depth of Field to isolate the subject from the background.
Toning down the background and bringing some brightness to the faces will elevate this image.
