I am drawn to the abstract qualities and strong visual impact of this image. With a few minor adjustments, it would become even more striking.
Increasing the brightness, exposure, and contrast would bring the outer fronds to life, reveal finer detail, and significantly enhance the
overall impact. Flipping the image horizontally would place the taller frond on the left, strengthening the diagonal line from top left to bottom right.
Adding more negative space above the tall frond to match the spacing at the sides would further improve the composition and lift the image into Merit territory.
