Beautiful detail and creative use of depth of field combine to create a striking portrait. The interplay of tones—dark on white and white on dark—works well and c
reates strong contrast. A few refinements could strengthen the image further: Consider toning down the brighter areas on the left so they draw less attention.
Holding the image back from scoring higher, although the image appears mostly monochrome, it still contains colour information (and visible yellow
artifact on right), which may lead to disqualification in external competitions. Ensure images are converted to grayscale to ensure they meet the criteria.
