The author has captured great texture and tonal range with nice midtone contrast bringing life to the image. I think the time of day has been well chosen with the full front of
the range being lit and the raking light emphasizing texture and contrast. While I think the long pano crop works well I would have liked just a little more sky.
To improve the image try pushing the contrast even further, or try selective lighting and darkening to give a more strongly defined centre of interest.
