Judges Comments

There are a number of very nice elements in this image. The gentle curve of the water, the reflections in the foreground water, the background of dark trees and light sky and the balance provided by the
fern tree on the right. Technically the image is well exposed, the critical areas are in sharp focus, and the image has a calm and peaceful feeling. I do feel that it needs a stronger centre of interest to lift it to the next level.
