A peaceful flower portrait where the flannel flower is positioned in front of a strongly contrasting dark grey background. The background itself is slightly patterned
and has a gentle gradient from dark at the bottom to lighter at the top which works well. The flower stem splits into two parts which helps to fill the frame and the bud
and the open flower give a hint of the life cycle of the plant. While essential areas of the plant are in focus, some of the edges at the ends of the petals seem a bit soft.
Perhaps focus stacking would have made the image pop even more. I would also remove the light, white mark on the top left edge of the image.
