I liked the central placement of a diamond shaped flower in a square frame and it creates a bit of tension that would not exist if the flower had
been presented as a square (rotated 90 degrees). The central placement is also useful in emphasizing the vertical and horizontal symmetry of the subject.
The image was probably taken on an overcast day as there is no evidence of deep shadows or blown highlights. As a result the image has a slightly cool
cast and may be more appealing if this was corrected. All parts of the flower are in focus but as a result the background elements are very dominant and distracting.
