The very bright harsh sunlight has given you very bright highlights and very dark shadows. I think
you could have made the composition more interesting by taking the 2 subjects out of the centre,
perhaps not having so much water and a bit more space on the left side to include the shadow.
Also would be good to remove the fence lines in the background.
