I feel that the author is introducing a story that I am missing. Compositionally the hand stands out
against a natural vignette of dark water and the ring is lighter and stands out from the hand. This is
framed at the top by the gentle curve of the foam which contains interesting patterns and colours and
continues in circular swirls around the hand.
