The use of foliage to frame a scene is a well established practice, but care should be taken to ensure the foliage does not dominate the image.
In landscape/seascape photography it is normally considered important to have the whole of the image sharp -
in this case the foreground including the foliage is, but the background, which includes the coastline and mountain are not.
