"Rock Scape" takes a small view of the sea and sea wall. The author has used a fast shutter speed to freeze the movement of the waves.
The suppressed colour pallet is possibly a reflection of the weather on the day on which the image was recorded.
Unless the elements that would make an image interesting are available at the time you press the shutter button then there is a high likelihood it will fail to satisfy.
