This image demonstrates the benefits of thinking carefully about aperture, shutter speed and ISO. Apart from a couple of small sections of the grasshopper's legs you have achieved very good clarity and detail where it is important. The tight cropping is effective. The nature story is not strong as the grasshopper is not engaged in any activity (such as eating or interacting with others) and this prevents the image gaining a higher award. CREDIT
