Four Chairs and a Table

Judges Comments

Well spotted. For this kind of shot to work it needs to be technically perfect. The blown out spot on the chair needs to go,
and I'm not sure what the pair of legs adds. Probably the best example of this kind of shot is Olive Cotton's "Teacups"
which was taken for a David Jones catalogue but is a classic in using ordinary things to create a design.
In this case, I'd try highlighting the table a bit more to separate it from the floor and get rid of the annoying
reflection on the floor behind it. And is this the design you want? Again, usual questions about how the eye is
directed through the frame. Where does it enter, move and rest? My feeling is there's a bit much clutter
in the background for this shot to work as it is. But good seeing.
