The author has captured remarkable detail and I believe the camera used had a small sensor which aids in macro photography by
allowing a greater DoF than cameras with full frame sensors. I love the detail in the eyes which we do not see ordinarily and feel the
impact would have been greater if the fly had appeared more active e.g. perhaps feeding rather than being static.
