The snow has an enveloping and concealing effect on this 'landscape'. Presenting the image in monochrome has a similar effect -removing
distracting colour and emphasizing form, shape, pattern. The strongest elements within the image and what consistently attracts my
eye are the snow covered branches and I wonder if a stronger image lurks within. On the other hand, snow in an urban setting has a
storytelling element to it - it raises impressions of white Xmases and questions about the lifestyle that weather of this kind dictates.
