Somewhere in this gallery I wrote that I never managed to shoot a good pic of the Van Ham Castle. Well, I took the time to browse through my somewhat older photographs and I found this shot, good enough to have it's place between the other photographs of the village.
If there is one touristic feature in our place, it must be this fine building, build at the end of the 15th century. The Austrian banned emperess Zita lived in it for some time.
The castle had originally four towers. During the second world war, the german army took them away because they were a risk for their airplanes (the actual Brussels airport is just round the corner!).
