Left/Right: rain on both sides...

Vorst, Belgium

Wednesday 14.02.2007, 6 pm:
I am in a hurry because I need to pick up my wife, somewhere in town, and I am late already.
In the office it was a busy day and I could only THINK of making my daily shot. On top of that, it had been raining the whole afternoon with the result that there was never any suitable light to make a more or less acceptable shot.
Why do I absolutely want to make a photograph a day? Why putting myself unnecessarily under stress??
Because it keeps me fit, I think. It sharpens my eye and my skills. Yes, I want to go on with it, whatever it takes.
When I leave the factory hall I notice the two mirrors and the reflection of the still overcast sky on the wet ground. Looks pretty surrealistic. Normally I wouldn’t easily shoot these kinds of subjects, but today I have very little choice. And, surprisingly, I am quite happy with the result, I must say.
One picture a day? It does help me to look at things round me in a different way! Great…

Don't let it overwhelm you.
Take the images as they come...
