These photos were taken at the bird of prey show today in Gatineau Park. It was one of many activities that took place as part of the Gatineau Park open house day. I stopped in to see the show and look around the information kiosks. The crowd favorite for the bird of prey show by far was the Barn Owl (first photo below). The Red-tailed Hawk (second photo below) was a bit mischievous during the show, at one point flying way up into the trees rather than to the stage. A huge mob of crows and jays started swarming the hawk which shortly thereafter returned to the show. I was also going to spend some time walking around the trails near the visitor center after the show, but I could see a storm was blowing in across the hills (last photo below) so had to leave the trails for some other time.
