While Penny B was out trying to get a birdie on a par three the rest of us were out trying to get a birdie in a tree. This common local breeder was the only birdie around who came out for a quick shot before disappearing back into the safety of the bush. Most of the spring migrants had moved on except for one very elusive Wilson's Warbler, a Magnolia Warbler and a couple of Blackpoll Warblers. The remainder of the birds were local breeders including another pair of Yellow Warblers tending a nest and a Gray Catbird busy building its nest. The silly female American Redstart that built her nest in a very conspicuous location in a high traffic area was hunkered down on eggs in her now completed nest.
