Fireflies

Yesterday I went out at night to photograph fireflies, which was something I had never done before. Fireflies reach their peak activity around this time in June and in the right places their displays are spectacular. It is like walking among dozens of shooting stars. I tried taking photos of the magic with long exposures. These were my favorites.

Wow, these are good. I have always wanted to photograph these insects but don't have the right equipment. It really is like walking amongst shooting stars. Magical. Very nice to see this work. VV
