Cobra Clubtail (Gomphus vastus)

Yesterday I posted a photo of a Cobra Clubtail that I rescued from the water. After that moment had passed, I figured it would be a very long time before I saw another Cobra Clubtail. These dragonflies are rare and to see and photograph one I figured would be a once in a few years event. This morning it happened again, I saw another Cobra Clubtail, this one in a completely different setting a long distance away from where I saw the Cobra Clubtail yesterday. I couldn't believe it. It landed nearby on the mud while I was photographing shorebirds and allowed me to approach close enough to get this photo.
