I didn't get anything done this afternoon thanks to this Lincoln's Sparrow. I looked out back after my late lunch and saw this Lincoln's Sparrow among the White-throated and White-crowned Sparrows under my feeders, and since this was a first for my yard and a species I had never photographed before I had to go out and try to get a photo. It took almost an hour of sitting in the grass before I got these photos.
I was also out this morning for four hours and struggled to find the nine species of warbler I saw. Many of the birds that were around yesterday including the Scarlet Tanagers had cleared out. Someone reported seeing a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Mourning Warbler and Canada Warbler, but I struck out with them!
