For some reason the water in the west pond at Andrew Haydon Park is milky white (below). It made for an interesting background when photographing this goose. Saw Bufflehead, Lesser Scaup, Common Loon, Northern Flicker and female Red-winged Blackbirds this morning. I also saw a Herring Gull that I tried a couple of times to photograph. I managed some photos (to be posted later). Still no Purple Martins, but it is still a few days early for them. I am also waiting for the first White-thraoted Sparrows, which should be any day now.
