This Great Black-backed Gull was pecking away at a dead gull. This is a fairly heavy crop. I tried to move a bit closer to the edge of the shoreline (I could have moved 12 feet closer), but this gull wouldn't even tolerate me moving a foot closer. I took one step forward and the gull, which was still 110 feet away, took off.
