This morning I spent most of my free time trying different angles and approaches with my 15-85mm lens on a variety of subjects. When I was trying to create a compressed landscape scene with the Gatineau Hills a huge flock of Brant (upper left) came flying in. I have always wanted to photograph geese flying in formation, but until now I never had my wide angle lens on whenever the opportunity presented itself. Chance had the geese fly almost directly overhead and as the flock passed by, less than a minute after I took this photo, I was able to catch my first photo of geese flying in a "v" formation (below).
