Intense Shades of Fall II

Yesterday evening I revisited the brilliant red raspberry leaves I photographed a few days ago with the hopes of getting better photos with my macro lens. I had a vision in my mind of the photo I wanted to capture but I couldn't do it with the lenses I had when I first visited. I am very happy with the way this photo turned out. It was just what I envisioned, with intense red color at near maximum saturation, strong shadows that still show some leaf detail, and nothing in the background. This is straight from the camera with only a bit of cropping to improve the presentation.

How nice when you have in your mind what you want, and then - you find it is waiting for you to discover and make your own.
