I was out on the mudflats along the river again this morning and what a glorious sunny morning it was! There were a number of other people out there also enjoying the glorious weather including a few fellow pbase users. We all ended up with good photos of Sanderlings and I also photographed a Great Blue Heron (these will show up in my recent additions gallery soon).
This year I became interested in observing and photographing different patterns of clouds, storm watching, etc. At the end of the morning, just as I was about to leave the mudflats, I noticed this interesting cloud formation. Off in the distance was a white mass of thin high altitude clouds and from it thin rays of cloud extended in all directions. It was a divine sight, I thought, so I spent some time trying to capture it with my camera. This scene only lasted for a few minutes before the thin rays of cloud dissipated.
