Wandering Glider (Pantala flavescens)

Wandering Gliders are migratory dragonflies with a population that fluctuates from year to year. This year they seem to be everywhere. Earlier in the summer the rarer Spot-winged Glider was common too.

I can't stand it!!!! I'm going to glue myself to your side so I can see and shoot some of these fabulous odonates. I have seen these guys flying by, up and down, back and forth, but do they ever sit still for me? Of course not!!!! Gorgeous, gorgeous shot (i say with an envious twinge!)
