There are few things I enjoy more than a walk along the river. This particular section of the river is my favorite because there are extensive mud flats for shorebirds (behind me), large expanses of open water for waterfowl, and nice views from the nearby riverside park and sailing club. I will be walking this part of the river very often in the coming weeks in search of migrating shorebirds and waterfowl, but hopefully not always in overcast and drizzle like this morning! It was a calm morning, though, and not unbearably hot like the past few days.
