Looking across the Deschenes Rapids from the island in the Ottawa River north of the ridge at Mud Lake. I first took this photo using a wide angle focal length while standing near the boulders at the bottom of the frame but then I thought that I would get a better prespective if I used a telephoto focal length to compress the distance between the foreground boulders and the mill ruins in the background. By doing this the mill ruins would appear closer and bigger.
