Pink Lady's-Slipper (Cypripedium acaule)

There were quite a few of these orchids in this area and all but two or three were fading away. Already!! The White Trilliums are almost gone and the Purple Trilliums are already completely gone. The Painted Trilliums are still in bloom but not for long. I was hoping to come across some Yellow Lady's-Slippers but found none. The Pink Lady's-Slipper seems to be the easiest orchid to find.

Very nice shot. Hard to believe that they are fading already. Didn't they just begin blooming!
