These two male Northern Flickers were having a big dispute that lasted for most of the hour and a half I was in the area this morning. Here they are perched on a dead tree trunk taking a brief break from the head bobbing displays they repeatedly engaged in. At point point a third Northern Flicker joined in when these two males were chasing each other from tree to tree.
