Here is the observation platform in the pine woods as seen from the lake. From here I returned to the road by following a well used footpath on the ice near the shore. Seeing so many footprints here settled my nerves. It was the better route to follow than the path in the woods, which was my intended route, because the woods were being terrorized by kids that were up to no good.
