Bracket Fungi (unknown species)

My purpose in going out this morning was to poke around all corners of the woods and adjacent open marshy area looking for prints, expecting that there wouldn't be much else to see, but there ended up being no shortage of other things to see: prints, birds, squirrels, landscapes, and this fungi! I don't know what species this is, I only know that it is a bracket fungi, but they looked very elegant, almost like seashells pasted to the trunk of the tree. Many bracket fungi remain on trees through the winter; this was one of a few other types I found this morning.

Beautiful shot of these seashells (yes, they surely do look like shells). I can't tell from seeing the bottom only, but they may be Dryad's saddle.
