When I photographed the small group of deer this individual belonged to I didn't intend to capture several different photos of a deer sticking its tongue out at me! I never actually saw any of the deer sticking their tongues out, so when I got home and reviewed all my photos it was a big surprise when I found these photos. I was initially not impressed because I wanted some "normal" portrait shots, but as you can see elsewhere in this gallery I did get some of the shots I wanted.
