day 3 - jade & great wall

Day 3 - today we learned how to write in chinese; saw some amazing jade sculptures and
jewellry; spent some time in the ming tombs; and watched how cloisonne artwork
and jewellry pieces were made.

but mostly we climbed the great wall of china which was truly spectacular....
and difficult to climb, it was so steep in parts.

at the end of a busy day, we enjoyed peking duck for dinner and
celebrated marie's birthday.
