Huang Long 黄龙

Huang Long National Park in JiuZhaiGou, Sichuan is nature's wonder display of color and beauty. Limestone terraces created from melting snow, cascading down to fill each pond with bright aqua-marine blue color. These images are actual colors taken in the park with minimal photoshop post processing were done.

Recommended visit plan : The park entrance is 200RMB per person. If you take the cable car, it is RMB70 more. Take my advise, pay the additional 70RMB. The walk from the top of the cable car to the scenic spots and down to the main exit is definitely easier than to walk up and down. It is a good seven kilometers walk from the cable car to the main exit so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. However, first class wood decking are provided by the government so you don't have to walk on uneven surface. And a good warning to people with heart ailments and asthma, cable car starts at 3,500 meters above sea level and climbs another 500 meters for a total height of 4,000 meters above sea level. So be sure to take several stops to enjoy the park and then move along. Bring disposable oxygen cans with you to aid you in your breathing or you can opt to pay 1RMB to get your oxygen from several oxygen bars situated along the walk ways. The most scenic sights are the top most of the park. Don't miss it.
