Winter in Fuji Yama

These photos were taken during a business trip to Japan on February 2007. I had a free day so I decided to take the Shinkansen (bullet train) from Shinagawa Station to ShinFuji Station, then took a taxi to go to a town called Fujinomiya for an overnight stay in a traditional Japanese hotel. All pictures were taken in and around the area of Fujinomiya.

Mt. Fuji can be very elusive because it can be obscured by clouds and haze. Once again, God was smiling on me and allowed me to take these photos. I couldn't ask for a better day to photograph Mt. Fuji.

Nice pics! I took some pics of Mt. Fuji too, but nowhere near as clear and nice as the ones you took. You really had a nice clear view. When I went, we had good visibility, but still a bit foggy. I have to learn to use the functions of the camera. Its been so cold lately, I've had no motivation to step out and use my camera. Maybe during spring, I'll start playing around with the functions.

Anyways, keep on sending those pics my way!

Thank you for the pictures Joseph....I will add them to my "holiday in Japan" - We went to Japan and paid out for the trip to Mount Fuji but due to the mist we could of been blindfolded and driven somewhere else because we could not see even a glimps of the mountain!!! Still it is nice to see what we have missed.
