Completed 2 March 2004. Black acacia (closely related to koa) back and sides, bearclaw sitka spruce top, rosewood/maple bindings, rosewood headstock overlay, abalone inlays, Quarterman cone, Gotoh 510 tuners. Body shape, tone ring bracing and baffle system are my own unique design. No soundwell or soundposts are attached between the top and back of the guitar. This leaves the back more free to vibrate and contribute more to the sound quality of the guitar. This instrument has a very sweet sound; fine low end and midrange, lots of harmonic overtones, not as bright as a maple guitar.
