Ever since 1905 motor cars have been racing up the hill at Shelsley Walsh. Situated in glorious countryside about 10 miles from Worcester, Shelsley Walsh is reputed to be the oldest motor sport venue in the world, and provides a wonderful spectacle, with all sorts of vehicles including pre war, historic racing, classics from a bygone era and specially built cars trying their hand. In fact those who visit Shelsley for the first time can’t resist returning. The paddock area is where you can get close to the action, allowing virtually unrestricted access to the many drivers and vehicles. For those of you who like historic racing, the Vintage Sports Car Club hold a meeting in July, where literally dozens of historic vehicles are on display, plus a few more in the car park which usually yields a few surprises too!
