Jumpers for Goalposts

River Nile, Egypt

Sunday 8th January 2006
Day 386

I spy with my little eye, something beginning with 'N'...

Another restful cruising day – our last for this holiday. The next few days will be early starts, travelling or both! Shooting the barrage at Esna was one of the days highlights, in an industrial sort of way. But otherwise, it was another morning, and early afternoon, of people watching.

Mooring at Luxor, in mid afternoon, meant that we were back with civilisation. Even though another night is being spent on the boat, the temptations are close by. I must say though that the temptations of McDonald's (honestly..) passed me by.

Once again, the innocence of people living their daily lives next to this great river, is quite captivating. Work, rest, and Play. Quite literally.

Great capture of local activity - says more than a lot of the standard tourist shots.
