Hard Work - for nothing?

Wednesday 20th July - Day 214

Having spent the afternoon sitting through a riveting session on Impact forecasting (no really, it was!), for which I now need to put together a coherent user requirement, I think I needed a break.

So, back across the road to the allotment this evening... I spent ages talking to this couple, who were so obviously proud of their hard work, which as I said before has to be destroyed at the end of this season, when they have to move to a different patch, a few hundred metres away, and start all over again. While it lasts though, this patch is beautiful.

Looks like they have a good crop. I like the hayfield across the way, too and you surely can't miss the blue bins. Whatever are the long, big beans?

Heart-breaking stuff ... I am always filled with awe when I see the results of hard-working gardeners, as I can kill plastic plants! :)

The eternal optimist will put in her two cents worth: It was good while it lasted. :) Great image, Lee.
