Rays at Meldon

Saturday 26th March 2005 - Day 98

Waiting until after England won today before venturing out armed with camera... I must admit though that I fell asleep at the end of the first half!

I was originally going to post another watery photo today, I can't resist the temptation if I am near water, but having taken the photo I was planning, two opportunities arose as I was loading the camera back into the car. In the end I've posted all three today, but chose this one as my PaD.

The camera does lie, it isnt sunset, but late afternoon... I loved the sight of the crepuscular rays emitting from this cloud and made an attempt to capture them in their glory, a heavy dose of underexposure was needed, but I feel that I succeeded. Warmed up a bit in PS.

I really love the mood in this picture that the clouds and darkness create. Threatening in a way.
